In a major disaster, we’re on our own. First Responders may not be available for hours or days. We need to be prepared to sustain ourselves and rescue those who may be trapped or immobile, provide basic first aid and medical care, assist residents who need assistance, and create an effective organizational structure to guide response and recovery.
